HELPS TO MAINTAIN NORMAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS | Line Cholesterol
This food supplement combines red rice yeast and policosanol.
Red rice yeast (Monascus purpureus) is a microscopic fungus that is cultivated on rice which contains monacoline K. This active substance helps to maintain normal cholesterol levels in the blood*.
Policosanol, which is important because of its octacosanol content, is obtained from sugar cane and completes this formula.
*The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 10 mg of monacolin K daily, obtained from fermented red rice yeast preparations.

GOOD TO KNOW
Cholesterol is an important lipid substance for the body. It is one of the key components of cell membranes and a natural hormone precursor. However, do not confuse “good cholesterol” and “bad cholesterol”:
We generally refer to “bad cholesterol” to describe LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) – a protein used to transport cholesterol from the liver to the cells. It is responsible for depositing fat on arterial walls. High levels of LDL can block the arteries.
HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) carries cholesterol previously deposited in the arteries to the liver where it is decomposed. It is then known as “good cholesterol”.
Follow a varied, balanced diet
Choose foods with a high polyunsaturated fatty acid content such as the omega 3s (herring, salmon and walnuts, etc.)
Steam foods and do not use fats
Drink at least 1.5 litres per day, between meals
Limit your intake of doughnuts and fried foods, even in the case of fried vegetables or fish
